The Enchanted Files: Cursed

Cursed

Have you ever seen a Brownie? Chances are, you said yes. Stop right there. I'm not talking about a chocolate brownie, but a brownie as a mythical creature who helps people.

In the book The Enchanted Files: Cursed written by Bruce Coville, Angus is a brownie, and he's just like all other brownies—except for one thing: his family (and him) are cursed to help the youngest girl who is above age 10 who is also kin to a McGonagall. That would be fine if it weren't for one thing: all of the males in the girl's house want to become poets, but they are always horrible poets. This hasn't been a problem yet until Angus goes to Alex's house. When her dad quits his job to be a songwriter and her brother quits soccer to write poetry while they're both horrible, Alex starts to worry. They only way to stop it is to break the curse before they both go crazy! But the only way to break it is to go to the Shadow Queen herself and break the curse.
