Matilda

Matilda, written by Roald Dahl is a story about a little girl who is brilliant and sensitive. She has read long books like Oliver Twist and Pride and Prejudice. After reading all of the children's books in the library she is smart enough to be in a class with eleven year olds—all at the age of five and a half.

Matilda would have a wonderful life if only her parents would actually acknowledge that she is smart, none the less brilliant. Her parents think of her as a scab; a worthless thing that they can't wait to flick off. Matilda hasn't ever felt a word of praise. Luckily, when she starts school she meets a new friend, Miss Honey. Unfortunately, she also meets a new enemy: the horrible Trunchbull. Matilda has to face enemies and make friends to really prove herself and to finally get what she wants, to really be loved. If you like books about adventures with fantasy in them or just Roald Dahl in particular, than Matilda is for you!!!
